While discussing with my colleagues

what to give my boss for his retirement,

I suddenly remembered how lovely the preserved flowers

I’d received from a friend were, so I asked

that friend to put me in touch with the florist.

“Something that lasts is better!”

So we chose an art flower arrangement

featuring preserved flowers.

They listened carefully to all our specific requests,

and the finished arrangement

was absolutely stunning—far beyond what we had imagined.

To our surprise, they crafted each and every flower

with a special meaning,

included a note explaining the flower’s symbolic language,

and, in addition to our own message,

even added a handwritten note expressing their own heartfelt sentiments.

Our boss was absolutely thrilled!!

 

He was so delighted

that he sent us a happy update saying,

“I’ve already displayed it in the best spot in my living room~♪”

We, the givers, are also overjoyed

that we were able to create such a wonderful gift—one that will be a lifelong keepsake!
